Most guys want to get massive in the gym. Aside from the obvious route of actually growing a lot more muscle, there are several other ways you can appear bigger without having to spend a substantial amount of time in the gym.
🏋🏻♂️ TRAIN YOUR SHOULDERS AND UPPER BACK
Focus on building your delts and traps. The idea is you want to create as much of a v-taper as possible, which is, having a larger upper body and narrow waist line. The larger your upper body, the more prominent this bodily shape will be.
🏃🏻♂️ GET SHREDDED
Once you have a certain amount of muscle mass, the leaner you are, the larger you’ll appear. See the two photos above. The one on the left is when I am in the middle of a dirty bulk and have quite a high body fat percentage, the one on the right is when I am shredded. Due to the lower fat I had in the right photo, both my shoulder and bicep muscles stood out much more making me look larger. Add to this the increased definition and vascularity, and the combined effect makes me look stronger, which is associated with size.
I have to stress, getting shredded only works when you already have a baseline level of muscle. It will actually make you look smaller if you don’t have any muscle
👔 CHOOSE THE RIGHT CLOTHING
Wearing the right clothes can really help accentuate your physique by emphasizing a broad upper body and narrow waist line. In general, go for fitted clothes with lighter tones that have horizontal stripes. These will help draw the eye’s attention to the body’s widest points.
Avoid baggy clothes or items that are too fitted, as this will destroy the illusion you are going for.
