Not much needs to be said here because this is the most obvious benefit with any form of bulking (whether it is ‘clean’ or dirty). The excess consumption of calories, carbs and proteins, provide an anabolic advantage to grow your muscles.
💪🏻 IT IS EASY AND SIMPLE TO DO
Diets (even clean bulking diets) require the counting of calories, fats, carbs and proteins. With dirty bulking, you just need to count your proteins because your normal appetite and food preferences should have you eating all other macronutrients in surplus to grow your muscles, assuming you eat a Standard American Diet (SAD).
💪🏻 IT REPLENISHES WILL POWER
A big reason why I am able to remain shredded for extended periods of time (like over 6 months of the year) is simply because I know I will be relaxing all restrictions on my diet for a few months, during which time I won’t be counting anything aside from proteins. This knowledge keeps me disciplined when I am shredded because I know I will be able to satisfy my cravings at a confirmed future point in time. This empowers me not to succumb to temptations when cutting.
💪🏻 IT ENABLES WEIGHT GAIN FOR ECTOMORPHS
If you struggle to gain weight, dirty bulking can be advantageous in that it will increase your chances of gaining mass. Whilst you’re likely to gain more fat than muscle, overall you will have a higher probability of gaining muscle with a high caloric surplus than compared to gaining muscle on a calorically limited clean bulk diet, particularly if you aren’t 100% clear on your body’s caloric requirements.
