Taking ownership and blaming ourselves is one of the hardest things to do. This is something almost everyone struggles with and I’ve never met someone who can do it with ease all the time (I am even referring to yogis or vipassana teachers). It’s fathers day this weekend and I want to make a post about my parents. I love them but they annoy me, so much so, I had to move out long ago. Having said that, I owe them a lot. Taking ownership over something (say a project) means you take FULL responsibility for ensuring that what needs to be done to accomplish the project, gets done. It also means you take responsibility over the result of the project, so if it succeeds, you take credit, but if it fails, you take the blame (even for reasons that, initially, appear out of your control).
